Each time I have visit Brookshire's in Hawkins, it has been a pleasant experience. The sales are great and so the service.
If you're looking for a hot meal, definitely stop by the Deli. Their friend fish, chicken and macaroni are to die for. They also have corn dogs, brisket, chicken strips and a few other items regularly. You can't beat a value of around $7 or less for a hot meal.
I like that they have package carry out service. I like that they have public restrooms. I like that they have electric wheelchairs. The only drawback is that they don't have enough of them, and they don't always charge them well. Don't have enough handicapped parking spaces.
For the second time in 6 months, I wasn't given one of my bags of groceries after paying. Its not my normal protocol to look through each and every bag for every item when its loaded in my car. When I got home and discovered it I called to talk to a manager, was put on hold for 8 minutes, then hung up on. I called back, asked to talk to the customer service desk, was put on hold, waited for 5 minutes before hey hung up on me again. I will never shop at this store again, horrible customer service.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good selection overall, missing some items we would like to purchase frequently. Points are a cool idea to use for gas but the gas at this location is a little more expensive than other places around. So its not as good of a deal as you might initially think.
